History Of The College

C N Arts and B D Commerce College, established in 1963, is affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University. The college has been accorded recognition by University Grant Commission, New Delhi.The college is managed by M.P.Shah Education Society,Kadi. It is the only college in Kadi taluka imparting higher education in the commerce stream. It has produced number of business professionals and entrepreneur in the region. The strong business acumen of the people of this area is nurtured by the college, and it has contributed notably to the growth and development of Kadi taluka. The town Kadi has historical importance in the state of Gujarat. It was ruled by the Marathas and was considered an important place for commerce and business. The same spirit has made it a business hub even in the present time. It is one of the biggest market for cotton produces and ceramic industries. Keeping in mind all these aspect, C N ARTS AND B D COMMERCE COLLEGE was established by the Kadi Hit Mandal which was later funded by Shri M P Shah. Thus, with the generous donation of shri M P Shah, the college became the first grant –in –aid institute in the whole North Gujarat region. It has played a vital role in the development of the town and has produced many renowned entrepreneurs and businessmen in this semi-urban region.
